LAND ART

Investigating Land Art in the ICT class

We found lots of photos by searching Google
Images  for LAND ART. We found some nice relaxing videos and powerpoints on YOUTUBE.

We saw how artists like Andy Goldsworthy use natural materials such as leaves, sticks and stones to create AMAZING artistic creations.
"MY  ART IS AN ATTEMPT TO REACH BEYOND THE SURFACE APPEARANCE" - Andy Goldsworthy

IT WAS GREAT FUN!

With enlarged photographs of our creations we practised some vocabulary in the class...
We invented names for our creations... FLOWER GIRL, INDIANA, TEDDY BEAR....next step could be to invent a story or "A Day in the Life of Flower Girl" or just short simple descriptions.
Children are keen to talk about their character as they have made it themselves. So much more motivating than a printout or textbook exercise!!!!!!!
